  What a week. We had a lot of lessons fall through but we were still able to stay busy! I think that's one of my favorite things about Galveston- even when things don't work out the way we planned, there is still so much to do.  Alright so some big news- our friend Josie has decided she wants to be baptized on July 13th! We are so excited for her! She is actually a friend of Terry (who is getting baptized June 20th) and they study the Book of Mormon almost every day together. They're awesome!  We got to help the Barretts paint their shed! They are a really cool couple :) We also had zone conference and it was really good. President Guthrie talked about how "true doctrine, understood, changes attitudes and behaviors". Its actually really cool to think about. When you understand the doctrine, or an eternal truth, you wont need all the little dos and donts. You will understand things in a way where you will want to change and be better.   We had a BUSY week last week! We had a ton of lessons and we had some service opportunities too so it was good! We helped pick some peppers and beans and tomatoes at Seeding Galveston which is a community garden. I have never wanted to have my own garden like I do right now. It's cool to see all the different plants and how they grow. Its also cool to see the end product of all the different plants. But a lot of the time we forget about all the hard work took to grow the plants. They need good soil, water, sunlight, etc. It's the same way for each of us as well! We have to do the things that will  help us grow spiritually like reading the scriptures, praying, and going to church! When we nourish our spirits, our testimonies get stronger :)  Funny story- so Hna Grimes and I both love soccer so we were juggling and saying the first vision in Spanish. We are a little rusty... anyways the ball bounced off the wall and all the sudden hna Grimes kicks the ball like shes shoot...

  What a weeeekkkk. The days are sooo long here in Galveston but we stay busy so it's a good time 😁 This week we visited our friend Willie. He's awesome. He loves reading the Bible and the Book of Mormon. We read with him and talked about faith. He said that when covid first started, he came up with the phrase "keep the faith virus going". I just loved that. Life's crazy but we just gotta keep the faith virus going and spread it everywhere!! We also met this lady while we were doing our studies at a park and we started talking and she asked us a ton of questions and starting bible bashing us a little bit. We got to a point where we asked her if she believed God loves all His children. She kinda sat there for a while and then pretty much said no. It made me really sad. There was no changing her mind though so we kinda just let her ramble on. When we parted, that stuck with me. How could someone believe God doesn't love all His children? That's just depress...

  Wow what a week!! Last week was the longest week ever. We did so much! Sister Grimes is the best, we had a blast. We did some service at the gardens, we helped someone in our ward move, we helped this guy with his BBQ, taught an english class, taught our friend Terry how to make friendship bracelets, and we got to meet a ton of people. Galveston is awesome. It's a cool little island with a lot of squished together houses. The people here are either med students, tourists, or just plain weird. It's a good time.  We were walking around this neighborhood trying to see if some people were home when we saw this woman on her porch and she asked us to tell her the word. So we sat down with her and told her about Gods love for her and how He has a plan for each if us. We gave her a Book of Mormon and started to talk more about when she asked us if we could quickly leave because it wasn't her house. So we got her number and left.   We had transfers and I am now in Galveston! My new comp is Hna Grimes and I love her, shes full of energy. We switched yesterday and it's way different than Bay City, that's for sure. But last week was good. We got to help the Ricks move and that night it had rained a TON so we got to swim back and forth between their apartment and the moving truck. It was a blast. Me and Hna Ells found some good wall art before I left so we had to take some pics 😉 Love yall
