  This week flew by! Hna Lingen and I both finished the Book of Mormon!! We read it in a little less than 3 months and oh it's so good. We did the Atonement challenge so we highlighted all of Christ's names, His teachings/gospel, and anytime His Atonement was mentioned. It always feels so rewarding and satisfying to finish the Book of Mormon. It has definitely brought me so much closer to God and I noticed how much He just wants to bless His children. And it's so sad and frustrating when the people just dont listen! Ah! And then to see that with the people we try to talk to and ahhh I wish everyone could just be like Christ. But alas no.  Terry is going to start reading the Book of Mormon from the beginning so I painted one for her! She loved it hahaha. I love her so much.  Wow we had a GREAT week! A little stressful but FULL OF MIRACLES!! So first miracle was finding Jerrico and Amber. We had a lesson cancel (this was on Monday) so we stopped and prayed to know where to find someone who was ready to let God prevail. Then we just started driving and Hna Lingen would say which way to go and on the ones where she didnt say anything I felt which way to go. We ended up parking on this one way street after driving for almost 10 minutes. We got out and a couple houses down and across the street we saw a family on their front porch and we asked them if they knew anyone who would be interested in a message about Jesus Christ and the man (Jerrico) said they were interested! Then he said it was no coincidence that we were there and he knew God had sent us to help him. Hes done a lot of not the best stuff in his life but he has the DEEPEST desire to be better.   So today is our pday because we have a bunch of meetings next week so here we are. Even though it hasn't been a full week, A LOT has happened!! We have found 4 new friends to teach and have been handing out Book of Mormons like crazy. It has been so fun to talk to everyone around us!! It is also SO FLIPPING HOT HERE I have never sweat so much in my life. Its disgusting.  We have some funny stories. One man asked if we were Swedish. So we decided that we were the sweaty Swedish sisters. It has a ring to it. Another guy, after we asked him if he or anyone he knew was interested in a message about Gid, just replied, "uhhhh I-I'm just smokingg pottt?.". It was hilarious. Then we met this guy named Dexter-definitely high on something- who is going to have a food truck and we're going to be his first customers and we get to eat for fwreee. No complaints here.   Another strange week in Galveston! Alright funny story, so we tried to visit this lady named Jennifer. We'd never met her before and she hadnt answered our phone calls so we went over to her house. Almost all the houses here are on stilts, so we walked up the stairs to the front door and we knocked. And we knock again. And we can hear someone inside so we know they're there. Then all of the sudden we hear a car beneath us start. They were trying to escape! So we went down the stairs and in that moment they knew that we knew what they were tryna do. So we waved and they hesitantly rolled the window down and we asked for jennifer. They just shook their heads. Guess we'll never know if that was ol' jenny or not.  We also did weekly planning at the library and the fire alarm went off. Everyone kinda just stared at one another and then we started walking downstairs but then a lady yelled it was a false alarm. So we sit back down and a guy walks past us and says, "ever...

  Another crazy week on the island! Not gonna lie, it had us in the first half but we had a great comeback at the end. We had a ton of lessons cancel but we were able to visit a lot of people so it all worked out. We found 3 new friends to teach and they all seem awesome. One person, Lisa, was a referral (she clicked on an ad from the church and gave us her info) so we went over there after 2 lessons fell through. It was dumping rain and we noticed her windows were down in her car so when she answered the door we told her that and she was like oh okay thanks. We had an awesome lesson with h and shes so excited to read the Book of Mormon. At the end she went and rolled up the windows 😅 shes got her priorities straight I guess!! We had another lesson with our friend Mahogany and a member from our congregation, Sister Purdum.
