July 20, 2020- Yee Haw!

Well I have officially been out for a week now! I actually really love Houston. The humidity isn't too bad and it's nice and green here (and there are trees EVERYWHERE and I love it (and I swear all the lizards in the world have all swarmed to this area)). On Wednesdays and Thursdays we get to volunteer at two different gardens in Hermann park. My companion, Hermana Crandall, has amazing Spanish so I am learning a lot from her.
So many things happened last week, i don't even know where to start Haha. We had a bunch of lessons with members and non members. There was one man who is really interested in knowing more about how the Book of Mormon and Bible are connected so we are teaching him about that. It's really hard meeting all these people over zoom and WhatsApp but I love how I am still able to feel the spirit during our lessons.
We taught a lesson on zoom yesterday about Alma 32 and how our faith is like a seed. It's very important to make sure that we have the right soil (making sure to pray), enough water (reading the scriptures), and enough sunlight (being focused on Christ) in order to allow our seed to grow into a strong plant, tree, etc. I am so thankful for this gospel and this opportunity I have to serve my Heavenly Father.
