October 26, 2020 - Me 'n my inmates

Last week was AWESOME we did a ton of stuff. On Thursday we did our usual service at the Japanese gardens with Donna and Barbara who are both older women and they LOVE to talk- so fun. So when we were wrapping up, it was just me, Barbara, and Hna Crandall talking and I look over at Donna and watch her pounce onto something in the grass. I died laughing because it's not a normal thing to see an old lady do that. Then she walks over to me, opens my hand, and puts this frog in my hand. It had the longest legs it was awesome. Oh and at the other gardens, we helped rake up the grass that mole crickets had destroyed on the front lawn. While we were doing that, Barret- one of the workers- started singing into a rake, "Me and my inmates, raking up sod, me and my inmates, we got caught....". It was so funny. There were like 10 workers plus us listening to him and yeah, it was a nice concert.

One day we went to Shipley Donuts to buy some donuts for the sisters. So we go through the drive through and me and Hna Crandall each order 2 donuts for them. Then we pull up to the window and the guys hands us the bags after we pay and then tells us that he gave us extra donuts. And sure enough, there were 4 donuts instead of 2 in each bag. We told him thank you and he just waved it off. Then, it turns our that the Sisters weren't having a very good day. Follow promptings- especially when it has to do with food.
We went to this family's house and talked with Maria. They're not in our ward because they go to the english ward but she doesnt speak english so we go over to read the Book of Mormon with her once a week and man she loves the Book of Mormon. She writes down scriptures and quotes and then tapes them all over her house. She has such a strong testimony- I love it.
Lastly on Saturday we went and walked around Hermann Park. We ran into quite a few members which was funny. One lady and her kids were so excited to see us and they made us join their family picnic and eat some of their SubWay sandwiches. They were so nice. Once they realized we were hermanas they went OFF in spanish. Did I understand the majority of what they were saying? Nope. But it was fun. Oh and I got a caricature!!! Never done one before haha so me and Hna Crandall got one.
I hope yalls enjoy all these pics, sorry there were too many to choose from....

Love yalls!
