We had a lot of good lessons last week with members in our ward! One of the families we visited with had three kids plus their cousins running around the yard and oh boy I wanted to join them haha. We talked a while with their parents and then shared a little message with them and they rounded up the kids so we were all sitting on their little front porch. We asked their girl Celene to say the opening prayer and it was the most sincere little prayer I've ever heard. She thanked our Heavenly Father that we could be alive, for the earth, and for a couple other things and I dont know why but it kinda made my eyes tear up. All of the kids answered our questions and I think they were teaching us more than them.
Yesterday we had a ton of people come to church which was awesome. The mayor gave a talk and it was soooooo good. He shared his experience about the day before his baptism and how he felt like he was making the right choice. Lupe, who's getting baptized this Sunday :), texted us during that and said "I am so ready!". At that moment, I got something in both of my eyes and so they were watering a little bit but I'm better now.
I am so thankful for this time of the year where we can celebrate the birth if our Savior. To quote David Archuleta, "Someday He'll give His life for me, but now He sleeps so peacefully, hallelujah." We shared a lot of Christmas messages and we have talked about how many names/title Christ has and I have come to the conclusion that my favorite title is Light. He is the light and life of the world. He is definitely the light in my life. The same little girl, Celene said that He's like the sun. So He's my sun. Through Him I can see the path back to my Heavenly Father.
2 Nephi 26:9 -> "the Son of Righteousness..."
Malachi 4:2 -> "the Sun of Righteousness..."
Merry Christmas yalls ❤
