February 1, 2021 - The unhealthy string bean

 We had some amazing MIRACLES last week so that was amazing. We have been teaching our friend Lynette and last week we had a lesson with her. We walked in and she told us about everything that had happened that day with her family and work. We didnt know what to say. Then Sister Nance came (she was a little late from dropping something else off) and without any background about Lynette's day she started talking about her son who deals with mental illness and about the struggles her and her family have gone through with that. We were all crying. I dont think I have ever felt the spirit that strong in my life. Sadly, Sisyer Nance had to leave early too but everything she said was so perfect. The rest of our lesson went amazing we were able to answer a lot of her questions. She said she wanted to cancel but she felt that she should still meet with us :) God is so good. The timing with all of that was incredible too.

There was also a funeral on Saturday so we went and helped serve food to the family at lunch. Sister Biggerstaff (the wife of the man who passed away) told us to eat so we sat at a table off to the side. Brother Perry (this old southern man with a thick accent and long white hair pulled back in a ponytail)came and sat down by us and the Elders and talked with us. Then he asked us for any fat from the brisket that we didnt want. So I gave him mine and he said something along the lines of people these days want everything to be "lean" and you can usually tell who thise people are...then he looked right at me and said and in my day you would be considered unhealthy. The elders and Hermana Terry were just as in shock as I was so I just laughed and said thank you brother Perry. What a guy.

I'm getting close to finishing the Book of Mormon again and I love it so much :)
