September 27, 2021 - Hey mom my phone got stolen...

Okay now this was a CRAZY week. It all started out with a fun exchange with Hna Jensen. Love her. We got some delicious sushi and met some cool people out in Jones Creek. When we exchanged back at the church, I got out my phone to take a picture with my girls but sis Stone beat me to it and so I put my phone on the hood of my car and we took the picture. We said goodbye and went back to our apartment. Thats when it hit me:

I LEFT MY PHONE ON THE HOOD

So we rushed back and searched the parking lot and along the road and nada. Many prayers were said. The next day we had district council and I told them at the end that I had lost my phone. Then Elder Nelson was like yo we can track your phone through your Google account. AND SURE ENOUGH! WE FOUND MY PHONE....In north Houston.... So we filed a police report and all that good stuff and we didn't really hear about it. Then that night we went to the church to prepare for zone conference and I thought of looking at where my phone was again. And this time it was 17 minutes away!! So we called President Richards and then the police and a couple hours later we were waiting in a Walmart parking lot with Pres at 11:30pm. Finally the police came and we followed them over to the house- both officers said they had never had success with these types of things. They went up to the house and we stayed in the car and a few minutes later they came back WITH MY PHONE!!! There wasn't a single crack in it or anything. God is so so so good. And of course I asked to take a picture with the officers. Great guys.

We also ate alligator. Tastes like chicken. And we had zone conference! It actually went really well! We talked a lot about covenants and it had been so cool to learn about them. There's a scripture in Jeremiah 31:35
"Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name"

I LOVE IT! Covenants tether us to our Savior and ordinances help us remember our covenants and also help us learn more about our Savior. SO COOL! We get to go to the temple TOMORROW and I am SO EXCITED AHHH! Our whole mission is going this week so we're all super excited :).

I love yall so much!
